Programme
The main venue for the conference proceedings will be the University of Edinburgh’s New College, a historic building impressively sited in the very centre of the town at the top of The Mound overlooking Princes Street.



The programme for the conference will include:
- Plenary addresses on the main themes and subject areas of the conference
- Early Scottish Printing
- Ceremonial and Festivity
- Languages of Scotland
- Panels of individual papers in themed groups.
- Workshops on topics such as: speaking Scots, printing, Gaelic place names, heraldry, weights and measures.
- Conference Dinner.
- Musical and dramatic entertainment drawn from the period.
- Events and receptions at the National Library of Scotland (in conjunction with the exhibition 500 Years of Scottish Printing), St Giles, John Knox’s House and other historic venues.
The academic programme for the conference is now available, covering the plenary sessions and panels. The full programme of workshops, social and performance events will be added in due course.
